The aim of the OCN NI Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Northern Ireland) is toprovide learners within health and social care, training aligned to the Health and Social Care Apprenticeship Framework and is fully endorsed by the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC).

Description

The Level 3 Diploma extends the knowledge and practice of health and care staff in their chosen area with a range of mandatory and optional units Learners must be able to evidence competencies in a real work environment. If you already work in health and social care, this qualification will develop your skills for senior-level roles in hospitals, domiciliary care, community support and other care settings.

Learning Outcomes

  • Be able to meet the communication and language needs, wishes and preferences of individuals.
  • Understand own and others’ responsibilities relating to health and safety in the work setting and be able to use risk assessments in relation to health and safety
